Check Her Out!

Photos are definitely things that I cherish, especially ones that document special occasions. I find photographers to be truly amazing and really admire their work for many reasons. I also know that good photography can be the difference in turning a moment/day/experience into tangible memories which last a lifetime. Without knowing anything beyond the basics of photography, I have learned that the photos I enjoy the most are ones that provoke emotion, whether because I was physically there or because the picture itself displays obvious sentiment.

When I posted about our wedding details a month or so ago, I mentioned that Kelsey Sutton had taken photos of us girls getting ready, in addition to the photographer we had hired to do the wedding and reception. Kelsey is fairly new to the photography world, but she has already made such an impact through her photos. Although her photos speak for themselves and really need no explanation, I wanted to give a huge shout out to this girl for her excellent work. Besides her unique eye and talent, her personality brings such a calming presence to the moment. Being laid back myself, I so appreciated Kelsey’s calm demeanor and joyful spirit. She was not over-bearing, bossy, or demanding in what she wanted. Kelsey fit right in {partially because we are friends} but also because she just knows how to make it an enjoyable experience.

If you are looking to take family photos, needing a wedding photographer, etc., I recommend that you contact Kelsey! She lives in the Marshalltown area, but services the Des Moines metropolitan area as well as Ames and surrounding towns. So make sure to check out her website, as well as Facebook page for all the details. Thanks again for helping to make our wedding day so special! I will never forget those few hours leading up to the moment I became Mrs. Hawley. View More: View More: View More: View More: View More: View More: View More: View More: a great weekend y’all!
